Bybee Cemetery (aka Funk), is in Knoxville Township Section 9 Township 75 Range 19. The parcel number is 0560200200.

 

The cemetery is located 1 1/2 miles east of Competine Cemetery on Hwy. T15. It is in a shady spot and is difficult to access in a corner of the Lenger property at 1596 Hwy. T15. 

 

Most of the 13 known burials are of the Funk name. This plot is at the edge of the former Yankee Hollow coal mining area. It was restored by Ron and Margaret Gee, who also made a plat of the cemetery.

 

Bybee Cemetery can only be accessed when the crops are out. To visit it, contact Kim Lenger at (641) 828-7548 or, alternatively, it can be accessed from the west through Billie Jean Hodges' property at 1526 Miners Lane, (641) 828-8818. Miners Lane is a branch off Godfrey Lane, int he 1500 block of Hwy. T15.
