Carlisle Cemetery is in Indiana Township Section 1 Township 74 Range 19 in the 1900 block of 185th Place, Attica, 1/2 mile north of Highway 5, or 1 1/2 miles east and north of Attica. The parcel number is 0421500100.

The cemetery is named after William Carlisle, who donated the land for this cemetery. It is set back about 150 feet on the west side of the road and has about 75

gravestones.

 

In August 2014, the restored

arch was placed back in its

original location at the gate

of the cemetery (right).

 

In 2015, new road signs were

placed along the adjoining

highway, replacing some that

had been misspelled.
